As I get older, all of my little imperfections start surfacing...lines on my forehead, crow's feet, larger pores, spotting on skin...the list goes on and on. To add to the list, I have noticed that my lashes are slowly diminishing. I was never blessed with super long lashes, but mascara helped with that, but lately I have noticed less and less lashes. With this new grim discovery, I have made the decision to wage war on my aging. A friend recently posted before and after pictures of her lashes that prompted me to ask her what she had done. Luckily, she shared her secret with me...Rodan and Fields Lash Boost. In desperation of reversing the hands of time, I purchased Lash Boost. Before my first application, I took the dreaded selfie of my sorry lashes. From that day, I have applied the product nightly before I go to bed. Here are my results after 2 weeks. Have I noticed a difference with just one week of use? YES, I have. My lashes are slightly longer, but the big difference that I have seen is that my lashes seem thicker. I'm excited to see what my lashes will look like after 3 months. As always...stay tuned.
I am getting to my mid-forties. Yes, I can admit to that. Honestly, my age has never bothered me...until now. Lately, I've felt like my age is really starting to show. I'm aware that am in my forties. I am aware that I work full time. I am aware that I chase after 5 boys daily. I am aware that I don't get nearly enough sleep. I AM AWARE! I still have to wake up every morning and look in the mirror. In one of my recent conversations (or complaining sessions) with one of my colleagues (you know who you are), I verbalized my concerns about my skin's condition. Brands were thrown out. Products were discussed. After many considerations about what skin care line would work for me, researching my options, and asking my friends what had given them results, I came to a decision. I chose the Mary Kay Timewise Repair line.
Though I've only been using these product for about 2 weeks, my face feels better. My skin feels moisturized, supple, energized, and soft. As for the wrinkle improvement...only time will tell if I'l be able to see an improvement, but overall my skin seems to have a glow that it didn't have before. I'll take that any day.
As the first day of school approaches, the big question for me is "What am I going to wear on the first day?". All summer I've been eating healthy and working out and I want to show off the fruits of my labor. Instead of waiting until the day of to have a battle of the outfits, I decided to lay all of my options out, take pictures, and then make a decision on the impression I want to make on my first day.
I found this method to be extremely helpful. I was able to see all of my options...jewelry included...and narrow down my choices. I did this with all of my newly purchased clothing until I narrowed it down to the ones you see here. So you are wondering which outfit won...wait and see on my next blog post.
As the summer winds down, my family is going to take one last mini vacation. I want the opportunity to really wind down and relax before school and work begin. We are visiting Sanibel, Florida. I am absolutely addicted to this place. It's beautiful, tropical, and serene.
What would a beach vacation be without the proper gear: a great bathing suit. I found this treasure at Target...Yes, Target....for $39. It's classic, sophisticated, and timeless. Add your favorite shades, wrap, hat, and flip-flops (and sunscreen, of course) and you'll look like a superstar at the beach.
Though you might have a different style that mine, I urge you not to cross Target off of your list when shopping for a new bathing suit.
